Business Engine (“we”, “us”) builds custom intranets and related software for operations-focused businesses. This policy describes how we handle information in connection with businessengine.us and email at hello@businessengine.us.

We collect information you choose to send us, including:

• Name, company, and email address when you contact us
• Details you include in a fit conversation or project discussion
• Basic technical data from site visits (pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, browser/device type) via analytics

We do not require an account to use this marketing site. We do not sell personal information.

We use information to:

• Respond to inquiries and schedule conversations
• Evaluate fit for a custom intranet engagement
• Improve this site and understand which pages are useful
• Meet legal, security, and operational obligations

We use Matomo analytics hosted at analytics.sullivanbranding.com to understand aggregate traffic. Matomo may process IP address and browser data. We use this to improve the site, not to build advertising profiles.

Analytics may set cookies or similar storage so we can tell return visits apart from one-time visits. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still load.

We share information only with service providers who help us operate (for example email and hosting), when required by law, or with your direction. We do not share your data to train third-party AI models.

When we build an intranet for a client, project data is governed by the engagement agreement and that client’s systems. Marketing-site analytics are separate from client production environments. Client systems are designed so your operational data stays under your control — including private infrastructure and the ability to export.

Inquiry emails and related notes are kept as long as needed to run the relationship or comply with law. Analytics data is retained according to our Matomo configuration and purged on a rolling basis.

Email hello@businessengine.us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold from marketing inquiries, subject to legal retention requirements.

This site is for business audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
